Risposta all'appello internazionale lanciato dal KCTU

We are enclosing a copy and an English translation of the Manifesto that we, as the Organizzazione Comunista Internazionalista (Internationalist Communist Organisation) have put on the walls of Venice and its industrial zone of Porto Marghera in solidarity with your struggle. Yours represents a very important step in the construction of the only weapon that workers throughout the world have to defend themselves from the jaws of "globalised" capitalism: an equally globalised political and trade union organisation of their own, which is capable of setting the centralised power of the international proletariat against the centralised power of international markets. It is this objective that spurs us to offer our international and internationalist class solidarity in support of your fight, which we have done not only by means of wall posting the Manifesto mentioned above, but also by distributing leaflets inspired by the same content in Italy's largest cities (Naples, Rome, Turin and Milan) and in some of the most important industrial centres of the country: the FIATfactories in Turin, Arese (Milan) and Pomigliano d'Arco (Naples), and Fiumicino Airport in Rome. Fraternal greetings

Organizzazione Comunista Internazionalista

LET US LEARN FROM
THE WORKERS OF KOREA!

At the "invitation" of the world's capitalist sharks, the South Korean government has launched a violent attack against the working class by introducing the full right to dismiss and replace striking workers, a wage freeze, the outlawing of trade unions until the year 2000 and a working week of 54 hours! These are the noose-like rules of "post-modern" capitalist exploitation.

Equally immediate and strong has been the militant response of the working class: an indefinite strike and united struggle for the withdrawal of the provisions and the downfall of the anti-worker government.

Grim-faced, and setting force against force, the working class has reacted to police aggression by marching determinedly towards a general strike!

If we too want to break the interminable chain of sacrifices and regression that our own government and masters are imposing on us, this is the path to follow - the same as that successfully beaten by the French lorry drivers.

Let us too break the connivance with national and company interests.

Let us resume the initiative of struggle by responding with the solidarity requested by the Korean workers!

LONG LIVE THE INTRANSIGENT STRUGGLE OF THE KOREAN WORKERS AND WORKING CLASS!

LET US REGAIN OUR CLASS INDEPENDENCE. A CLASS-BASED PROGRAMME. A CLASS-BASED TRADE UNION AND A CLASS-BASED PARTY!

TO REPEL THE ATTACK OF THE WORLD CAPITALIST FRONT, LET US UNITE IN A WORLD ANTICAPITALIST PROLETARIAN FRONT!

THE ONLY REAL SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEMS OF THE WORKERS IS THE INTERNATIONALIST CLASS STRUGGLE. NOT SECESSION AND LOCALISM!
